Coding Games Masterclasses - 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th August 2022

Join us each morning for a different coding activity led by an app and game developer. This course is suitable for absolute beginners who have never coded before who want to understand the concepts behind programming and creating apps and games. We'll be doing some fun block coding projects, creating some fun games and learning the fundamentals of programming! Every single project we work on this week can be completed using a modern browser, with no additional software (or hardware) required.

This Masterclass is part of a four-day course. Please do register for all four sessions if you can, as we'll be building up our knowledge over the sessions and projects we create. You can manage your events at https://teentech.com/my-events.

Teachers: You can register for these sessions as a teacher and share the joining link directly with your students (via your internal school platforms), so they can watch and code along from home. Our joining links are open links, and students do not need to have a TeenTech account to take part - they can simply click the joining link.

Parents/Carers/Students: Parents (and students aged 16+) can register for these sessions to access these sessions from home.

Our TeenTech presenter will step the students through each part of the project, and students will be able to, safely, share their code if they need assistance. If you can’t join the sessions live, don’t worry! All sessions will be available for playback.

Animation Masterclasses - 15th, 16th and 18th August 2022

Have you ever wanted to create an animation? Join us for a special week of free animation activities during the Summer holidays! We'll be talking to industry experts from film, television and gaming, and spotlighting pre-production, production and post-production skills.

The course is suitable for absolute beginners who want to understand the concepts behind planning and creating animations. You do not need to own any specialist software to take part. All our tutorials will use free software, or software with a free trial, and we will let you know more details ahead of each session.

This Masterclass is part of a three-day course. Please do register for all three sessions if you can, as we'll be building up our knowledge throughout the week.

Our TeenTech presenter will step the students through the entire process of creating an animation, using free software that can be used on a phone/tablet or desktop/laptop computer. If the timings don’t work for your school, or if you can’t join the sessions live, don’t worry! All sessions will be available for playback.

What Our Parents and Teachers Say…

This virtual offer is amazing, so well thought out and is executed seamlessly. Such a great idea, I will be sharing on Facebook and to all my friends for their children to get involved over the coming weeks. The last few weeks have been challenging with trying to work and homeschooling, and this project actually bought my own children closer.

Just wanted to say that, as a parent watching all of these sessions, you should all be very proud of yourselves! They are creative, thoughtful, funny, entertaining and show a lot of skill. Well done all and thanks to TeenTech for another amazing week.

What Our Students Say…

I have enjoyed this week so much! It has been exciting and I adored it! I learnt so much about sound and it was an incredible opportunity.

Student

They have been an amazing experience and I have definitely had a deeper dive into the world of tech. I have understood that it’s not all about code, there’s so much more to it.

Student

At the start of the week, I had a passion to be a game designer but I didn’t think I could do it. TeenTech has helped me develop my skills and helped me create a game that I enjoy. Thank You.

Student

I have enjoyed the sense and the atmosphere of collaboration between industry experts, TeenTech’s presenter, Ali Maggs and the bright ideas shared to everyone by the teens. These lessons have been very informative and have made me think outside the box for new innovations and ideas.
