Special event at Airbus, Broughton, N.Wales  for people working in education

It’s never been more important for schools to be aware of the real needs of employers and the local economy. The world of work and the skills needed by young people to really thrive is changing fast.

TeenTech Teacher events will give insight into the landscape and how you can use this knowledge to influence the workforce of tomorrow.

Open to head teachers, school senior management teams, teachers and  career professionals.

On June 12th there will be a rare opportunity to tour the Airbus Broughton site and to find out more about the broader opportunities in contemporary Science, Engineering and Technology. This event will also be open to teachers in North Cheshire and the Wirral.

This event will provide opportunities to tour the site and see those wings being made, hear about the future of the local economy, learn how to use robotics and the Raspberry Pi effectively in the classroom and  see some brilliant ways of encouraging your students to learn more about photonics. We’ll also examine the changing face of apprenticeships and the technology set to transform the way we live and work.

Teachers will see the technology and engineering involved in building the very latest aircraft

We will take you through an interesting and thought provoking vision of technology past and present and outline how you can bring this to life for students through the TeenTech event planned for Spring 2014. You will get the chance to see technology in action on a tour of the Airbus site and get some hands-on experience of leading edge IT equipment.

This event will is open to teachers from Wales, North Cheshire and The Wirrral. If you are outside these areas and wish to attend, this will be subject to places being available.
