Maggie Philbin has worked in radio and television for over 30 years on a wide range of science, medical and technology programmes from Tomorrow’s World to Bang Goes The Theory. In 2008 she co-founded TeenTech, an award-winning organisation getting young people to innovate, create, build skills and prepare for a fast-changing future. In June 2016 she was voted most influential woman in UK IT by Computer Weekly and also named 2016 Digital Leader of the Year.
In this year’s Coventry Christmas Lecture she reflects on the nature of innovation, drawing on her experience demonstrating exciting but temperamental prototypes on live television, and listening to the uninhibited creativity of thousands of young people.
“Young people are the stakeholders in the future and we want to give them a voice and the skills to make it a future which works for them”, says Maggie.
In this lively, interactive event, Maggie will be inviting your thoughts on what the future holds and challenging parents, children and experts to take each other on in the So You Think You Know Technology Quiz.

This event was broadcast live on Thursday 9th December and is available to watch back here.
