TeenTech DMU Festival (Years 9 and 10)

Schools can bring a group of ten students in Years 9 and 10

TeenTech DMU Festival will bring together schools and colleges across the region for an exciting interactive programme that will help young people understand the range of opportunities across digital, science and technology and the many different entry points.

There are different sets of activities for Years 7 and 8 students and Years 9 and 10 students.

The TeenTech festival is a sharply focussed event that changes perceptions and helps students understand their own potential. It’s a day that changes minds – especially those who may never have previously considered a career in science or technology!

This session for Years 9 and 10 will include:

• A series of hands-on activities which will enable them to meet a range of employers in digital, science, technology and engineering.
• Workshops providing insight into the wide range of STEAM careers and the different university or apprenticeship programmes that could lead them there.
• A tour of the campus where students will be able to ask questions about university life.

Schools can bring a group of ten students in Years 9 and 10. You can indicate on the booking form if you would like to bring additional students if space allows.

We will provide downloadable resources and participation packs to schools after registration.

Festival Booking Terms and Conditions

There is a booking fee of £20 per school. After your booking has been confirmed, your school will be invoiced.

Because there is a limited number of places at this event, and we want to make sure that every school has the opportunity to register, please note our cancellation terms, which are:

• Cancelling before Wednesday 26th February 2025: fee refunded (as we can then offer this place to others)
• Cancelling on or after Wednesday 26th February 2025/Non-attendance on the day of the event: No refund, plus £500 cancellation fee
