How can we make everyday living smarter, easier, greener, more inclusive or more fun? This category invites you to reimagine any household appliance—from kettles, electric toothbrushes and hair tongs to washing machines and cookers. We want to see your hacks for the homes of tomorrow.
Think about our daily tasks and routines in the bathroom or the kitchen, or when caring for clothes or cleaning the house, what improvements could you make to an everyday appliance for you, or your family, older people or people living with disabilities? Or perhaps you have an idea for a gadget or an appliance which doesn’t yet exist? Could your idea save time, money or simply be easier for everyone to use? Could your product utilise Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or AI technology to enhance everyday tasks?
As always, we’re looking for ethical innovation – so make sure you consider sustainability, repairability and recyclability.
