We had a brilliant day in Scarborough running a City of Tomorrow build day with great feedback from teachers and impressive creativity from students.
The winners of the day were the ABC school, a homeless shelter and the inner-city safari park. ABC School was designed to be an inspirational school that students would love to go to for those who were bullied or didn’t suit their current school and the safari park was an inner-city park for mistreated animals.
The Safari team worked really well together, with one student protecting the building over lunch break and another working on the presentation while the build was still happening so they had a fully written and rehearsed script before lunch.
The Safari Park narrowly missed out on the student vote but impressed the judges so much that the team were invited to the London showcase which brought on bouts of happy tears and a call to proud parents!
