On Wednesday 25th June, the finalists in the TeenTech Awards 2014 will travel to The Royal Society to present their innovative ideas to some of the most famous people working in science and technology. We’re keeping their names under wraps until Wednesday but they’re all looking forward to seeing innovative student projects which use technology to make life ‘better simpler or easier’
The ideas, created by 11-16 year olds working in groups of three, range from play-parks which generate power and water supplies , wardrobes that choose and deliver your clothing, gloves which translate speech and a way to “grow your own clothes”
The winners will be invited to a special reception at Buckingham Palace on October 14th.
Sponsors of the awards include Google, Hewlett Packard, CPC, National Grid, Airbus, Equal Experts, OCR, Institute of Food Science and Technology, Cranfield University and PA Consulting.
