TeenTech comes to Hampshire for the very first time on Tuesday.

3D printing…Just one of the activities lined up for Hampshire teenagers

Just three days to go before the very first TeenTech in Hampshire. The team have been working for the past ten months to create a really special day which will showcase very latest science and technology and give teenagers some unforgettable hands on experiences.

Students from 28 schools across the county will  be able to try out home technology  which won’t reach the living room for at least five years. They’ll also appreciative the meaning of precision engineering as they fit a para-athlete’s prosthetic leg and have a chance to see how others might see them,  as they work with security experts to become more digitally aware. There’ll be an inter – school stadium building competition ,” Design an App” sessions and quadcopter flying. And much, much more.

Sue Riley from the Basingstoke Consortium, the organiser of the Hampshire event says “The wait is nearly over for the launch of the first Hampshire TeenTech – and there are some truly special activities lined up for students and teachers. The imagination and enthusiasm of our companies, coupled with cutting edge technology and dedication of our business ambassadors is a really special mix….”

We’re all looking forward to Tuesday. It’s set to be a brilliant day.

Look out for the live reports from our team of young journalists who’ll be covering the event.
