DESCRIPTION:Schools can bring a group of ten students in Years 6\, 7\, 8\, 10 and 12\nThe TeenTech Festival is a sharply focused event that changes perceptions and helps students understand their own potential. It’s a day that changes minds – especially those who may never have previously considered a career in science or technology. \nIf you are participating in this event\, you can also register for the up-front TeenTech Roehampton Festival Virtual Innovation Live Event on Tuesday\, 20th January. You can check which events you have registered for by clicking here. We strongly recommend schools sign up for both the virtual session and the in-person event.\nSchools can bring a group of ten students. If those students took part in the virtual session\, they will bring their project to the TeenTech Festival on Thursday\, 23rd April\, where they will receive feedback from experts. All students will participate in a series of lively challenges and activities which bring the world of science and technology to life. \nStudents in Years 10-12 will also experience workshops providing insight into the wide range of STEAM careers and the different university or apprenticeship programmes that could lead them there and receive a tour of the Roehampton campus where students will be able to ask questions about university life. \nWe will provide downloadable resources and participation packs to schools after registration. \nEarly registration is advised. \nFestival Booking Terms and Conditions\nThere is a booking fee of £50 per school. DESCRIPTION:This session is open to as many students as you like in Years 8-9\nTeenTech Lancashire will bring together schools and colleges across the region for an exciting interactive programme that will help young people understand the range of opportunities across digital\, science and technology and the many different entry points. \nIf you are participating in this event\, please also ensure you register for the in-person TeenTech Lancashire Festival on Thursday 18th June. You can check which events you have registered for by clicking here. We strongly recommend schools sign up for both the virtual session and the in-person event.\nUpfront of the festival\, we will run a live virtual innovation session on the topic of Innovation\, AI and Cybersecurity\, after which students will work in teams to create a project to make life better\, simpler\, easier or more fun. \nThis session is open to as many students as you like. This could be an entire class\, or year group. \nThis will be an hour-long morning session\, online with guest contributors working in contemporary industry and will feature guests showcasing exciting aspects of their work. The livestream can be viewed from a screen in several classrooms\, or large hall if appropriate. Students can interact by submitting questions throughout the live stream. These questions come through to the TeenTech team\, who send them through to the presenters to ask on screen. Students are then set an innovation challenge\, where they build their own solutions to address real-world problems connected to the session topic. \nSchools can then bring a group of ten students who have taken part in this event\, to the TeenTech Lancashire Festival on Thursday 18th June at the University of Lancashire where they will receive feedback from industry experts and participate in a series of lively challenges and activities that bring the world of science and technology to life.

DESCRIPTION:This session is open to as many students as you like in Years 8-9\nThe TeenTech MTI Festival\, for schools in North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire\, will bring together schools and colleges across the region for an exciting interactive programme that will help young people understand the range of opportunities across digital\, science and technology\, and the many different entry points. \nUpfront of the festival we will run a live\, virtual innovation session\, after which students will work in teams to create a project to make life better\, simpler\, easier or more fun\, on the topic of Smart Futures: Tech That Moves Us. \nIf you are participating in this event\, you can also register for the in-person MTI Festival on Thursday 26th February (either the morning session or the afternoon session). You can check which events you have registered for by clicking here. We recommend schools sign up for both the virtual session and the festival\, but it’s not compulsory.\nThis session is open to as many students as you like. This could be an entire class or year group. \nThis session is online with guest contributors working in contemporary industry. The livestream can be viewed from a screen in several classrooms\, or large hall if appropriate. Students can interact by submitting questions throughout the live stream\, these questions come through to the TeenTech team who send them through to the presenter to ask on screen. \nStudents are then set an innovation challenge\, where they will come up with ideas to address real-world problems connected to the session topic of AI and Innovation. Students should then be given some time (45-60 ideas) to come up with their initial ideas\, which they will develop further at the in-person Festival. \nSchools can then bring a group of ten students who have taken part in this event\, to the TeenTech MTI Festival on Thursday February 26th (at MIRA Technology Institute\, Nuneaton)\, where they will receive feedback from experts and also participate in a series of lively challenges and activities which bring the world of science and technology to life. DESCRIPTION:Supported By \n \nWe’re thrilled to announce a new project\, Creativity Inside: Digital Media Programme Launch Event\, for secondary students\, which we’re running with the support of the Amazon Regional Creative Fund. \nStudents across the UK will have access to creative digital masterclasses with leading employers in the Spring and Summer Term\, highlighting ways students can develop skills and pursue their creative ambitions. \nOur virtual events are a fantastic opportunity to meet people working across film\, TV\, advertising\, music\, fashion\, and gaming. All students will be given ongoing support to help them develop their own projects for the TeenTech Awards.
