You can register, and join us live, for our upcoming TeenTech Live sessions in Wales here. We have heard from many teachers and parents that they would like to replay some of our recent live sessions, so we’re making them available to watch back.
For TeenTech Innovation Live sessions, your students/children are welcome to complete projects for any of these sessions, and send across any questions they may have, even though the deadline has passed, and we’ll provide feedback on our upcoming Ask the Experts/Feedback Session on May 11th.
For TeenTech City of Tomorrow Live sessions, you can submit projects up until April 20th and we’ll showcase all projects on our Ask the Experts Feedback Session on May 3rd.
The dates below show the original live broadcast of the session. When you register you will be sent the link to the session to watch at your convenience or share with your pupils through your usual channels.
You will also be sent an email with details of supporting resources, again this will reference the date of the original showing. You can ignore the date and time referenced in this email, and click through and watch the session immediately, or at a time that suits you.
TeenTech City of Tomorrow Live Build Day / Diwrnod Adeiladu Dinas Yfory TeenTech
Join us for a TeenTech City of Tomorrow Live Build Day where your pupils will have a chance to imagine safer, kinder and smarter buildings for future cities. We'll look at the problems we face in our cities today, look at the world of fast-changing technology, and set your pupils the challenge of imagining buildings, infrastructure and technology to help tackle these challenges. They can create physical models of their ideas, or use CAD software or Minecraft, and they'll receive feedback from industry experts!

TeenTech Innovation Live: Game Design / Arloesedd Byw TeenTech: Dylunio Gemau
During this workshop, we’ll cover different aspects of game design with some of the leading talents in the industry. We’ll look at current gaming trends and the technology that is pioneering the future of video games, as well as some of the issues the gaming industry faces. Students then have the option to imagine and design a game of their own, tackling some of the issues discussed and imagining how technology could drive new gameplay experiences and make gaming more inclusive and accessible.

Visual storytelling is an important skill. Being able to communicate an idea, using digital tools, is an important role that is used by innovators and content creators. During this TeenTech City of Tomorrow Smart Skills session, we'll take your pupils through creating their own short film - from coming up with a story/idea and pre-production, through production and post-production.

TeenTech Innovation Live: Health Technology / Arloesedd Byw TeenTech: Technoleg Iechyd
During this session, we will be talking to leading voices in the healthcare sector looking at how technology is being used to improve, digitise and deliver healthcare practices. We will look at future-leading technologies such as Augmented Reality and Robotics and how they're being used to improve safety and connect medical professionals to patients.

TeenTech Innovation Live: Future of Media and Entertainment / Arloesedd Byw TeenTech: Dyfodol y Cyfryngau ac Adloniant
This TeenTech Innovation Live session will be looking at the future of content consumption and creation. What is the future of interactive media where the audience drives the narrative? How is AI used to create believable characters that behave and converse realistically? What is the Metaverse, and what does it mean for the future of entertainment? Whether you want to learn more about how to design a website, write a blog or develop compelling content, our experts will showcase the latest thinking and the best routes to careers in one of the fastest moving and exciting areas. Students will be set an optional, creative challenge, which they could develop further for the Creative and Digital Media category in the TeenTech Awards.

TeenTech Innovation Live: Animation Masterclass 1 (Pre-Production)
Meet Industry Experts who work in pre-production for Animation (in film, television and video games) for an interactive introduction to Animation. We will be setting the challenge for the week, and you'll be able to ask any burning questions to our live guests and us! We will be guiding you through the pre-production process, and helping you to come up with an idea! With contributors Sanna Myllykangas (Aardman Storyboard Artist), Karine Chevalier (Film Writer, Director, Editor and Senior Lecturer at University of Roehampton) and Mike Andreoli (Concept Artist at Platinum Films). We will set the pre-production task, and demonstrate some free, web-based, software for creating storyboards.
TeenTech Innovation Live: Animation Masterclass 2 (Production)
Today we'll start creating our animations, and we'll be getting some advice from experts. Join us for a practical masterclass session where we'll be showcasing the free tools you can use to create an animation of your own. You can ask us questions, live, and we'll help you get ready to film your very own Animation! We'll also be speaking to Dave Brain (Animator and Visual Effects Artist), the son of Terry Brain who worked on Wallace and Grommit, Chicken Run, Creature Comforts, The Trap Door and more.
TeenTech Innovation Live: Animation Masterclass 3 (Post-Production)
Join us for a practical session, where we'll explore the tools to edit your finished animation and add some extra production values to your work! We will also answer any questions you might have, and help you if you're stuck on anything! We've also got answers from the experts from the questions you have sent in!

Very or somewhat interested in a career in Design, Technology and Engineering grew from 55% to 86%.

Feeling capable of having a career in those areas grew from 61% to 80%.

Our impact is long-lasting, schools working with TeenTech report more students choosing STEM subjects,(one reported a 300% increase over 5 years, another in Physics from 43% to 87.5%) and the teachers said they felt better placed to provide context for learning after running our project.
