    TeenTech Live Create Your Future Workshops
    For Years 7-12
    TeenTech Live Create Your Future (half-day workshop) offers young people valuable insight into career opportunities in modern industry, highlighting not only academic qualifications but core skills around creativity, collaboration, teamwork, tenacity and attention to detail.

    The day comprises of an assembly led by a TeenTech host, followed by workshops which are led by a professional app and games developer. During these workshops, students will focus, in teams, on global and local challenges, and then develop solutions using sensors, data, and technology. They will then have the opportunity to present their idea to the panel, and then take their idea further into the TeenTech Awards, a national competition.

    TeenTech Live City of Tomorrow Workshops
    For Years 5-9
    TeenTech Live City of Tomorrow (full-day workshop) asks young people to create their vision of the future, thinking about how we might live, work and play, while highlighting the "invisible" roles in tomorrow's world.

    Students work in teams to create residential and public buildings from recycled materials considering how design, technology and engineering can contribute to a smarter, kinder and safer city.

    Please let us know about your school day (our City of Tomorrow workshop is a full-day session and our Create Your Future workshop is a half-day session):

    You are about to suggest a date for your event – please make sure that they are ones that you absolutely know you can do before you suggest them, as the next step will be for us to see if the delivery team, all freelancers, can be assembled on one of those dates. We'll be releasing more dates shortly, so please do email [email protected] if you can't find a date that suits.

    What we need

    Create Your Future Days (Assembly and Workshops):
    We know you will have students working in different rooms but we can broadcast to all of them at the same time. Ideally, each room being used will have a laptop (ideally with a webcam, if you would like us to give feedback on the projects created) hooked up to a large screen (with audio).

    During the workshops, the students will work in teams of 3. TeenTech will send you the worksheets for the session (unless, due to COVID-19, you'd prefer us to email files for printing yourself). Note, each team will need a set of six worksheets.

    City of Tomorrow Workshops:
    We know you will have students working in different rooms but we can broadcast to all of them at the same time. Ideally, each room being used will have a laptop (ideally with a webcam, if you would like us to give feedback on the projects created) hooked up to a large screen (with audio).

    During the workshops, the students will work in teams of up to 5. TeenTech will send you the worksheets for the session (unless, due to COVID-19, you'd prefer us to email files for printing yourself). Note, each team will need a set of seven worksheets.

    Each team needs a selection of recycled materials to construct their buildings, which you can ask the students to collect (items usually collected include cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, packaging). You could also use glue guns, glue sticks, sellotape, and felt tip pens. If this is an issue, due to COVID-19, please let us know as we have some suggestions for workarounds.
