TeenTech Innovation Live: Animation Masterclass 2 (Production)
April 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am UTC+0
Today we’ll start creating our animations, and we’ll be getting some advice from experts. Join us for a practical masterclass session where we’ll be showcasing the free tools you can use to create an animation of your own. You can ask us questions, live, and we’ll help you get ready to film your very own Animation! We’ll also be speaking to Dave Brain (Animator and Visual Effects Artist), the son of Terry Brain who worked on Wallace and Grommit, Chicken Run, Creature Comforts, The Trap Door and more.
Have you ever wanted to create an animation? Join us for a special week of free animation activities during the Easter holidays! We'll be talking to industry experts from film, television and gaming, and spotlighting pre-production, production and post-production skills.
The course is suitable for absolute beginners who want to understand the concepts behind planning and creating animations. You do not need to own any specialist software to take part. All our tutorials will use free software, or software with a free trial, and we will let you know more details ahead of each session.
This Masterclass is part of a three-day course. Please do register for all three sessions if you can, as we'll be building up our knowledge throughout the week. You can manage your events at https://teentech.com/my-events.
Teachers: If your students are on Easter Break, you can register for these sessions as a teacher and share the joining link directly with your students (via your internal school platforms), so they can watch and code along from home. Our joining links are open links, and students do not need to have a TeenTech account to take part - they can simply click the joining link.
If you are in school on these dates, then you can play this session in your classroom (on a large screen, at the front of the class) and your students can code along with us on their laptops or tablets.
Parents/Carers/Students: Parents (and students aged 16+) can register for these sessions to access these sessions from home.
Our TeenTech presenter will step the students through the entire process of creating an animation, using free software that can be used on a phone/tablet or desktop/laptop computer.
If the timings don’t work for your school, or if you can’t join the sessions live, don’t worry! All sessions will be available for playback.
Once you have registered for an event, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Please add [email protected] to your safe senders list to make sure that event joining details do not end up in your junk folder.
You will be sent joining details closer to the date of the event. If you need to cancel your place, please revisit this page, or you can manage all of your bookings from the My Events page.
