This TeenTech Build Your Future Live session focuses on Health. How do we build new hospitals and provisions in cities that are already overcrowded? What technology can improve healthcare?
We’ll be looking at a variety of cutting edge technologies being used in hospitals to treat life-threatening illnesses and helping to connect medical practitioners with patients, and how Covid-19 has accelerated the adoption of new technologies, including Augmented Reality.
We will also be looking at the new £380m UCLH Proton Beam cancer treatment hospital in London, an eleven-storey hospital (five below ground) providing treatment for those with complex cancers and blood disorders. We will be talking to those involved with the project, and exploring the challenges of building such a facility, with shielding of the medical equipment a vital consideration.
If the timings don’t work for your school, or if you can’t join the sessions live, don’t worry! All sessions will be available for playback during the programme and you can even send us questions beforehand for our experts to answer.
